1. Agreement to Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Recalla ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
These Terms apply to all users of the App, including free and paid subscribers.
2. About Recalla
Recalla is an iOS application developed by umi.design that helps users organize their iPhone screenshots using on-device AI. The App provides features including OCR text extraction, automatic classification, AI-generated summaries, tagging, and semantic search.
3. License
Subject to these Terms, umi.design grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on your Apple devices as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service.
You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute the App or its content
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Rent, lease, lend, sell, or sublicense the App
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
4. Free and Pro Plans
Free Plan: Allows organization of up to 100 screenshots with basic OCR, classification, and keyword search at no charge.
Pro Subscription: Offers unlimited screenshots and advanced AI features (summaries, tagging, semantic search) via a monthly or lifetime purchase. Subscriptions are processed through Apple's App Store.
Subscription management: You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your iPhone's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
5. Refunds
All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Refund requests must be submitted directly to Apple in accordance with Apple's refund policy. umi.design does not have the ability to issue refunds directly.
6. User Content
Your screenshots and all data derived from them (OCR text, summaries, tags) remain entirely on your device. You retain all rights to your content. umi.design does not access, store, or claim any ownership over your screenshots or personal data.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. umi.design does not warrant that:
- The App will be error-free or uninterrupted
- AI classifications, summaries, or tags will be 100% accurate
- The App will meet all of your requirements
AI-generated content (summaries, tags, classifications) is provided for convenience and may contain errors. Please verify important information independently.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, umi.design shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, arising from your use of or inability to use the App.
9. Changes to the App or Terms
We reserve the right to modify the App or these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance.
